Automatically ticked box on document on check in

Hi,

When we check a patient into a particular worklist (ie surgery), I have a document "patient label x 3" come up during the check in process. The check-box is unticked so you need to click on it if you want to print the labels.

If we check it in to a different worklist, it skips the patient label step and the vet/nurse/receptionist has to print the labels manually at a later time if they are required. This is on purpose as most surgeries are admitted but other departments aren't as often.

I am wondering if it is possible to have the check-box ticked automatically and untick it if they don't want to print them.

I guess it would be something to do with the 'patient label x 3' document template - change the print mode from manual to automatic, but will this change the print preferences everywhere we use these labels? I only want to change it on the check in process for a couple of schedules.

Greta [you did look at the help screen didn't you ???? ;-] - http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/csh/1.8/admin/template/edit says:

So this controls ONLY the printing of documents which are attached to an product that is invoiced. It does not control what happens with documents offered at check-in time.

What you want would require a modification to the system (probably in the worklist where the templates to be offered at check-in time are defined) to allow one to set the state of the print selection check box. This would allow you to offer a set of check-in documents, some of which are pre-selected - rather than the current setup where none are pre-selected.
