Chromebook

Hi,

Is anyway using OVPMS with a chromebook/chromebase? Is this possible with regards to editing of open office and word documents? I.e. will letters with input fields still work and allow entry of data?

Thanks,

Adrian

Re: Chromebook

Adrian - I have never used a Chromebook.  However, since they just run the chrome browser, all should work OK.

That is, you will be able to generate an OO or Word based patient letter because all the work is being done by Open Office running on the server.

However, you will not be able to create and edit OpenOffice or Word documents on the Chromebook itself.

You will be able to preview stuff on the Chromebook (using its PDF viewer), but you will not be able to print the preview.

Conclusion: OK for the workers, but not for the techo who builds the OO documents.
