Please be aware that if you are using Windows 8 and running Chrome in what is referred to as "Windows 8 Mode" or Metro Mode - shortcuts using the keyboard appear not to work ie Alt - E to edit etc....

This is not a fault with OpenVPMS it is a fault with chrome in that mode - switching chrome back to desktop mode will resolve the issue.

If anyone has seen this differently can you please let me know what version of chrome you are running?
