Typing

Hi,

I am pretty sure it's a new issue and I'm not even sure how to explain it. When adding a new client/patient, you used to be able to type the first few letters of an address or breed (anything that had a drop down list) and it would look for all that information. It now only searches one letter, so if you type the second, third, fourth letter it changes to that.

Example:

It used to search multiple letters. If you typed Kens, you would find Kensington (and anything else starting with Kens)

Now if you type Kens, you get suburbs starting with S (the last letter)

Hope that makes sense. (for reference, we are using 1.9 7128)

Thanks,

Greta

Re: Typing

This is the way most browsers implement drop down lists.

Some browsers used to work as you describe but not consistently. For the latest Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, they skip to the next option starting with the character just entered.

Re: Typing

Hi Tim,

That is annoying of firefox....

Interestingly we just figured out that if you use a mouse and click on the drop down list and then type, you can use multiple letter search (you get Kensington when type Kens).

It just doesn't work if you use keypad only - Tab to get to the field and type.
