Active Distinct Customers by Period

There are now 4 Active Client versions (as of 21st September 2011);
a) One that groups by month (Customers are counted once per month but multiple times over months)
b) One that groups by calendar year (Customers are counted once per calendar year but multiple times over months)
c) One that groups by an user defined period (Customers are counted once per period and a single count is returned)

d) One that groups by an user defined period AND Practice Location (Customers are counted once per period and a single count is returned). This is for multi location clinics. (Revised 3rd November 2011 to fix bug)

These reports count active clients (those clients that have spent money at a practice) between two dates.

Annual totals

I take it that annual totals for Number of Active Clients are calculated differently to most vet software. Am I correct that Open VPMS, when asked for 12m figures, calculates monthly numbers then adds the 12 months together, thus some clients may be counted more than once in 12m. This would overestimate slightly relative to most common vet software reports.

Is it possible to do a true 12m total for number of active clients, with no clients counted twice or more ?

Compatible with version 1.3 and above

This report counts distinct active clients (those clients that have spent money at a practice) between two dates. The results are presented in yearly counts graphically and in text.
