Adding Countries to the Lookups in Openvpms

Hi,

I want to add the New Zealand to our lookups and the suburb South Auckland.

At present we have other countries added but they are all entered under the address field under locations contact as three or so lines of text with STATE set as 'none' and SUBURB set as 'none'. This prints out strangely.

We had no countries under lookups, I added New Zealand, but no country field appears under contacts to fill in. NULL also appears as the suburb/state on the printed invoice.

How do I get a country field to appear in the locations contact area?

Sandra.

Re: Adding Countries to the Lookups in Openvpms

Hi Sandra,

The country field was removed from the location archetype but can be easily added. The only issue is we would have to modify the formatted Address functions to return this field in the formatted string it returns, this requires a small amount of development.

The NULL displays are also incorrect and should be fixed in the formatted address functions or can be fixed by modifying the template to utilise a different set of fields for the address portion of the document. This is not that difficult so I will take a look soon and send you the detail of how it may be done. May give you a solution while you wait for above to be available.

Cheers Tony
