Appointments

Hi  Roger Clarke, Bundoora Veterinary Hospital.

We have a problem with the people who make our appointments in that we can never identify the person who made the appointment when there is a problem with it. This is very annoying. We have a lot of staff and the front desk person does not always answer the phone and make the appointment. If there is a problem then we have great trouble following it up.

I though a simple answer to the problem was to make the entry of the nurses initials as a mandatory part of the appointment . This would not add much time to the process and once they were used to it it would become "second nature".  Tony de Keizer says it can be done but suggested I float the idea on the forum first.  I am sure that many people must experience this problem and this would be very helpful.

Roger Clarke.

Re: Appointments

You can simple add the users login intials - this means that users must login under there own name and no one else should use another users login.

we have a users initials stored in the

User - Description field

then we use

openvpms:get(., 'act.objectReference.author.entity.description')

inserted into the Schedule View - Display expression under administration options.

Re: Appointments

You can show the appointment author by changing the act.customerAppointment archetype in Administration - Archetypes as follows:

i.e.

1. select the author node

2. untick Hidden

3. tick Read Only

4. click OK

Re: Appointments

Hi Roger,

That is what we do - the person making the appointment just puts their initial e.g. pg/ in front of any other text in the notes box.
