Bank Deposit Cash Rounding

Hi,

I am wondering if any one has found that the Till Balance Report has a Till Summary that has a cash rounding total to give you a 5c rounded amount to total. However the Bank Deposit Summary does not have this cash rounding row so I am getting 3c balances to bank.

Not sure if this report should have this extra information.

Hi Bernie,

The bank deposit cash amount displayed should be the rounded amount as this is the physical cash you have to deposit. It also means you do not need a separate rounding amount to be printed. If this is not the case then we need to definitely fix the report.

I have noticed this report is still not rounding cash.

Hi Bernie,

With new releases any new reports that are included in the release are not loaded. These need to loaded manually as required through Administration -> Tempates. The new reports can be found in your OpenVPMS release folder under the reports folder. The report content to load for is bankDeposit.jrxml.

Can you do this and check if rounding now OK ?

Sorry my bad. The report I modified was not committed to the latest 1.5 release. I have atatched for you to test for me. If OK then will go into 1.5 final release as well.

From bad to good. Tested a couple of times and seems to be rounding correctly.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for uploading the new deposit summary report. I've loaded the report manually and tested it by re-running the deposit summaries for the current financial year (we do 'deposit' weekly). I've also upgraded to the latest OpenVPMS 1.5 final release.

While the cash rounding seems to be working, I've noticed some random discrepancy with the total cash amount appearing on the summary which I cannot explain (on 4 out of the past 30 weeks only). While OpenVPMS is displaying the correct deposited total on the screen, the cash amount on the summary report is displaying more cash than it should be, so it doesn't add up.

I'll send you some screen grabs to your email directly. Would you mind looking into that?
