Hiding Line Items on Invoices

Hi,

With templates you can choose to hide zero priced items for stock purposes.

Is it possible to do this with non-templated items?

No. However in 1.9, there is a new product flag named "Use only in Templates".

This can be used to stop direct entry of products that should only be included in charges and estimates via a Product Template.

In your case, you would set up your stock control product e.g. "Swabs - Stock Control Only" to have its "Use only in Templates" flag set, and have a template "Swabs" with "Swabs - Stock Control Only" as its single item with "Zero Price" ticked, and "Print" unticked.

During charging, entering "Swabs" will expand to  "Swabs - Stock Control Only", and be suppressed in the printed invoice.

Note that you could call both products "Swabs" - only the template version will be shown when you charge.
