Merge clinical noye

Is there a way of merging clinical notes of a patient that has been added to the system twice under the same owner. Currently one client ID number but with 2 Patient IDs for same patient

Re: Merge clinical noye

I'm not sure if it is the answer to your question but patients can be merged.

If you go into the 'Information' section (top left) when in the 'Patients' work area there is a merge button at the bottom of the page.

This will merge the patient you select into the current patient (I think that's how it works - I'm relying on memory). I just follow the instructions on the page really, really carefully. There is no going back afterwards.

Re: Merge clinical noye

Thanks Chris, yes that's correct.

See below instructions.

To Merge Duplicate Patients:

Log in as an Administrator

Click on Patients Tab

Search for the Patient you want to MAINTAIN - (Patient 1)
Highlight the Patient you want to MAINTAIN .

Select Information Tab in the menu on the left.

Click on the Merge button at the bottom

Search for the patient name you want to MERGE - (Patient 2) . If you know the ID number 'tick' search Identities and enter the relevant number.
Tick 'All Patients' and 'Active' patient to get a complete list.  In the example below 'Rover' was entered in the name.

Select the correct patient.

You will get the following Message:
"Are you sure you want to merge Petname (ID) with Petname (ID)
Petname (ID) will be deleted after the merge has completed. This operation can't be undone"

 - See screenshot below.
Press OK if you're sure the Merge is correct.

NOTE: The patient (2) will be moved into Patient (1).

When you merge patients all history will be collated in the MEDICAL RECORDS workspace.
