Updating notebook and Version

Hi,

I am currently using an old version of OpenVPMS on a noteboook for my part-time mobile practice.

I need to update my notebook.

In the installation ducumentation for version 1.6 there are tabs for "Installing OpenVPMS on a Windows 7 Computer" and "OpenVPMS Installation (Windows)"

Before I buy a new notebook, can someone please let me know if OpenVPMS is compatible with

Windows 8?

There is no reason that it shouldn't be compatible. Hopefully one of the implementers can comment further though.

Hi Ross,

I expect that OpenVPMS will work fine on Windows 8.  The only issue will be the current Windows 7 installation notes may not match what you actually see on Windows 8.  May take a bit of searching to find the equivalent locations for any instruction taht relates to Windows settings.  :-)
