OVPMS most annoying feature - or am I getting something wrong ?

At the risk of sounding dumb, I have wondered about this one for nearly 10 years now. Why when a patient is discharged or invoice completed is the patient record not changed from "In Progress" to "Complete" automatically ? I find it really annoying having to hassle my staff to manually change these all the time. Usually we are left with a string of records "In Progress" and when future sales or records are made they get added to the wrong "In Progress" record, sometimes from months before. It doesn';t make for good records. Have I been doing something wrong all these years - or can this be sorted at the next upgrade ?

I cannot login to your system to run the same check, but I strongly suspect that the problem is the same. [We had the same problem in Hong Kong, and I could not understand what was happening until I stood behind one of the receptionists and carefully watched what she did.]
