Explanatory text:
This report shows problems whose Presenting Complaint and Diagnosis containing the specified text and matching the other criteria.
The Species, Breed and Clinician selection fields have % added so that leaving them blank will find all, and entering say species 'n' will include all patients with species starting 'n, and entering breed '%terrier' will find all patients with breeds containing 'terrier'. The selection is case-insensitive.
Two types of text search are possible controlled by whether the Text selection entered contains the character '|'.
Without the '|' a standard 'contains' search is used and the Text selection has '%' both prepended and appended automatically - hence entering the text 'neck' searches for %neck%.
You can search for multiple words by separating them by % characters. Hence "Basal cell tumour, cutaneous (skin) - neck" would be found by entering ing 'tumour%neck'. Note however, that entering 'neck%tumour' would not find this because the word order is wrong.
With the '|' character, an OR search is used. Hence entering turmor|neck|head will find compaints or diagnosis that contain the words tumor or neck or leg.
In both cases the search is case-insensitive.
By default only the 'Name' field of the complaint and diagosis (ie what is displayed on the Medical Records screen) are searched. However, you can extend the search to include the 'Description' fields of the complain and diagnosis. If you are using VeNom codes, then entering 'xxxx%finding' will effective limit the search to the Description since all the VeNom entries contain the word 'finding' in their description.
Note that only the first N newest matches are shown where N is the 'Limit number of results to' parameter (which defaults to 20).
The patient age shown is the age at the time of the visit.
Patients are shown as name owner-name (ID) so Mrs Smith's Fido is shown as Fido Smith (12345).
