To quote from the explanatory text:

This report shows the number of visits for each visit reason in the selected date range.
The period is inclusive - ie from 00:00 on the start date through 23:59:59 on the end date.
The location selection field entered has % added so that leaving it blank will find all, and entering say %branch will find all locations containing 'branch' in their name, and location e will find visits for all Locations starting E.
When multiple locations are selected, subtotals for each reason/location are shown.
