Currently, the echo TextField and TextArea components generate redundant updates to the server which in certain circumstances can overwrite modifications made by the server. This behaviour is documented here: http://bugs.nextapp.com/mantis/view.php?id=115 The most visible impact of this problem is in the calculation of markup prices from products, as reported in OVPMS-701 It can also be seen occasionally in appointment creation, where the patient is not updated when the customer changes.

To workaround this, the echo TextComponent.js needs to be replaced or patched to avoid sending text updates to the server when the text hasn't changed.
