Although the contact.email archetype has a name field (just like the contact.phone archetype), on the customer (and supplier etc) details new/edit screen, it is not exposed to be edited and receives its default value of 'Email Address'.

With the phone number, the name field is exposed and allows one to enter details like 'Partners mobile'.
