The OpenVPMSLoader plugin has limited support for referencing objects not loaded by the plugin; this is done by using the form: {noformat} node=value {noformat} E.g. {noformat} code=$value {noformat} The value must be a string, and may not include spaces.

This prevents: * retrieval of objects by their identifiers * retrieval of objects by their names

This should be changed to support retrieval by id and arbitrary string values.
