Address Format OO Doc

Hi,

We have a patient document with an address box drawn from OVPMS via [party:getCorrespondenceAddress(.)].

Format is:

Street Address

Suburb State Postcode

 

We would like it to display as

Street Address

Suburb

State Postcode

is this possible?

Be aware  that

https://auspost.com.au/media/documents/australia-post-addressing-standar...

asks that Suburb/Locality State and Postcode appear on the same line..

Adrian - the solution is within sight - see http://www.openvpms.org/project/address-format-customisation

I was looking at this the other day because I look after two sites in South Africa where postcodes are organised by Area/Town-Postcode but you don't show the Area on the actual printed address.  The fix is to have customisable address formats.

I would like to see this as something implemented in an early 2.0 snapshot.

I checked out the US and Canadian formats (in the hope that they would also benefit from this enhancement and thus we could push it through as part of the internationalisation effort) but they seem to use something akin to the current (Oz) formatting.

Hi,

Ok, at this stage I will work with our mail provider so their software picks up the addresses properly as they are formatted in a reasonable manner. If this fails then we can help make the address format project happen.
