Appointment Types
Submitted by bellvet on Mon, 20/07/2009 - 12:42
Hi,
I want to add a new appointment type and I would like to be able to allocate that particular type a time period and make it the default appt type for one particular schedule view only eg; visiting chiropractor. Can I have different set-ups for different schedule views?
Sandra.
Appointment Types
Hi Sandra,
Yes, you can. In each schedule you can link to one or more appointment types and in this link you can define which is the default appointment type and the no of slots the appointment type takes up by default. To get the time period you just need to multiple the number of slots by the slot size for that schedule.
Note appointment types are linked with schedules not schedule views so you can have a schedule view with multiple different schedules and each schedule can have multiple differet or same appointment types.
Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony,
Is there a document somewhere I can access on how to set up schedules, schedule views, appointments types etc?

Re: Appointment Types
There is a little bit of information in one of the install documents about the schedule and schedule view setup but not a complete document outlining all these components. It would be great if an implementer out there would like to contribute some information about setting this up :-)
Cheers Tony

Hi Tony,
I had a look in the document area and cannot find the document you mention, can you give me some hints on how to locate this, I'm also after a document containing all the openvpms/word merge fields that I printed off from this site months ago, I can't seem to locate that either, any advice on how to track either of these down would be appreciated.
Sandra.
Re: Documents
The small bit of documentation I was referring to can be found at the bottom (in Configuring OpenVPMS) found here:

The merging documentation can be found here:
