Butterfly Systems Integration

Hi
I work for a company called Butterfly Systems we build mobile apps mainly working with large human private hospitals but recently expanded into the veterinary industry.
We have some new clinics coming onboard who use OpenVPMS for Practice management suite and I would like to see If I could setup a time with someone from your team and mine to discuss integration opportunities and timelines.

We have an inventory management suite allowing clinicians to raise orders to ALL suppliers at the same time via barcode scanning, receive stock and perform stocktake. We would like to work towards any product added or modified in Butterfly Systems sending across to Practice management systems to ensure data accuracy and billing information is correct.

Secondly; we have a procedure setup management app that manages procedure setups and captures case by case costing in real time at point of care during a procedure. we would like the information captured in Butterfly Systems to be sent back to OpenVPMS for billing and capturing missed charges.

Could you please point me in the right direction who I am best to speak to in relation to integration and if we could setup a time for discussion and introduction on our projects.

Thank you!

Re: Butterfly Systems Integration

Hi Daniel,

we integrate with a number of supppliers via the ESCI API. The integration handles pricing and stock updates.

Your procedure setup management app sounds like it has similar requirements to the  Smart Flow Sheet integration. This synchronises product data, and receives treatment data which is then billed in OpenVPMS.

We are in the process of moving away from direct integration to a plugin based approach using OSGi. There is some plugin support available in the current OpenVPMS 2.1 release, but OpenVPMS 2.2 will expose more APIs. This is being developed here: https://bitbucket.org/OpenVPMS/openvpms/src/2.2-dev/

What are your API requirements?
