Clean Up Spelling

Hi All
When you are doing clean ups in the system - incorrect spelling ie of mls, bottle, tablet, breeds etc. in Visual Vetaid you were able to go in and delete but when you did it ask you to enter a new value so that the incorrect spelling is replace by something else.
ie bottel replace all with bottle.
This is helpful when cleaning up so you don't end up with alot of blank spaces. This is something that i would love to see looked at for future systems.
Thanks
Jocelyn
Re: Clean Up Spelling
In your example check the Administration->Lookups space.

Hi Matt
I know that you can edit them in admin section but if you do this then you
end up with more than one of that particular item on the list. With the
option of putting in an already exsisting alternative this stop the repeat
of the items.

Re: Multiple Items on list
Yes, we need a Merge function to do list cleanups after migrations from existing systems that did not limit the type of entries you could place in these lookup fields.
Essentially the way this would work would be if you delete a lookup it would ask you to select a replacement entry of the same lookup type and then go through the data and make the replacement wherever this lookup is used.
I think this is an important feature and we should try and add it to the 1.4 update if we can get some funding. I have JIRA'd it here:
https://openvpms.atlassian.net/browse/OVPMS-891
And will get developers to provide some costings for its implementation.
Cheers Tony
