Displayed Price Doesn't Include Link ed Fee

Message from svc@pobox.com svc@pobox.com

We're running into a problem associated with the display of prices (well my
nurses are, which means I am ).

Scenario: client rings up, "need to pick up a repeat of Neomercazole - how
much so I can send my spouse/child/workmate down with the money to collect
it."  Nurse clicks *Products | Select | neome* and Neomercazole pops up -
nurse reads off price $33.64, tells client $33.60 (nurse-operated rounding
function).

Client arrives to collect drug, invoice is generated and says "$43.64". Now
heat, as well as invoice, is generated !

The issue is that Neomercazole has a dispensing fee of $10 attached, but
that's not evident when you look at the product. You need to click on the
product, then click on the *Linked *tab to see that there is a Dispensing Fee
attached.

This, to a considerable degree, negates the usefulness of a Linked price as
we've all got to remember to do the extra clicks to see if a product has a
linked fee (and aren't we all agin "extra clicks"?).  This could also apply
to investigations that have a linked Specimen Dispatching Fee.

Is there a way to display the Linked Fee in an additional column (or a total
fee column)?

Yuri.

Re: Displayed Price Doesn't Include Link ed Fee

Hi Yuri,

Yes, the product search list not include the linked fee only fixed and unit prices currently. Search browser needs to updated to support linked fees.

Suggestion use OTC to do adhoc price calculations select product and displays fixed (linked), unit and total and also allows you to do quantity calcs and price up multiple products. Cancel OTC when completed..
