Does Invoice Sort Order have any effect ? (1.6b3)

I have products set to various product types.  I have the product types set to have different settings of 'Invoice Sort Order".

However, a) when I print an invoice, changing the value of the Invoice Sort Order setting for one product type does not move the invoice item with that product type in the printed invoice; b) when I scan the source for 'sortOrder' the only place it appears is within the archetype source entity.productType.adl [though I do admit that I cannot also find the invoice print code]

Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this a bug or unimplemented feature.

I believe the sort order field is passed to the jasperreports engine, so you can use it to order invoice items. 

This is done using the invoice items sub report.  However if your current sub report is not setup to use them it will have no effect.  These will enlighten!

Ben - thanks for this. I now have the grouping all working happily.  I still have to play with the 'show detail' setup.
