Estimate template error
Submitted by Guest on Thu, 15/03/2012 - 17:25
Hi all,
Unable to finalise/print or preview estimates.
Problems started suddenly 1-2 weeks ago. No changes or editing.
Error report: missing estimationItemsA5.jrxml needed for estimationA5 280509.jrxml
Estimation template has attached file estimationA5 280509.jrxml
Estimation Items template has attached file 10-016386-218726.htm. Presume this is problem.
I cannot find required file but am not the most computer savvy. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks, James
Re: Estimate template error
Try:
Administration | Templates | Select
Click on EstimationItems
Click on Edit
Lower right side of screen under Content, Click Select | Browse
Browse to the Reports folder in the "openvpms-release-1.n" folder (where n is the version number you are using)
Select "estimationItemsA5.jrxml" and click "open"
Click "Send"
Click "ok" and see if that's fixed the problem
HTH.
Yuri.
PS - why are these items called estimations, not estimates? Estimation is a judgement or opinion, estimate is an approximate evaluation of costs involved in providing a service (eg "no politician has risen in my estimation this year" vs "the builder has given me an estimate for the work to be done")
EDIT: correct typo
Re: Estimate template error
Yuri,
Many thanks. Will give it a try.

Re: Estimate template error
The problem you're having is probably as a result of the document loader.
See http://www.openvpms.org/forum/our-invoice-template-keeps-disappearin-g-l... for more details.
Regarding the naming of Estimations - I see your point. You can change the act.patientEstimation displayName attribute from "Estimation" to "Estimate" without any ill effects.

Re: Estimate template error
Cool. That'll please the pedant in me!
Now where do I find "act.patientEstimation displayName"? I've fossicked around in Program files\Apache\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\openvpms\WEB-INF\classes but can't see what to change.
Yuri.
