Help!!! Im a tech retard!!!

HELP!
I have just purchased a clinic, with open VPMS, that has only had 1 computer in reception. I wish to set up another work station. I figure I can work out how to install the programs on the computer, but how do i then make them work together? Can it be done without servers? I dont even know the logins for the practice, and cant find any way to contact openVPMS other than the message board.
The reception computer is registered until the end of the year.

Hi Laura,
Given you already have OpenVPMS running, and assuming the new PC is already networked and can see the Reception PC, you don't need to install any software on the new PC and it may only be a matter of entering the correct address for OpenVPMS in the browser on your new PC. i.e
http://<pc name or ip address>:8080/openvpms/login
If you cant locate the pc name or ip address of the reception PC or the Reception PC has a firewall setup then you may need more technical help.
