How to make mail icon bigger

I have been asked if it is possible to make the mail icon - specifically the 'you have mail' version - bigger.

I have had a quick dig but cannot find where the mail icons are held. [I was hoping to simply replace the 'have mail' version with an all red envelope 4 times the width (but the same height) as the current one.]

The icons are not configurable. They are located in the openvpms-web-component jar:

  • /org/openvpms/web/resource/image/buttons/mail.png
  • /org/openvpms/web/resource/image/buttons/mail-unread.png

I have implemented the new 'unread mail' icon.  The standard one is 16x16 - I built a 48x16 one. The results are as follows:

Standard 'unread mail' 

New bigger version 

I left the 'no mail' one as standard, ie

I have attached the 'big red' version - if you use a red theme you may want to alter the red to another colour.
