Idexx Labs
Submitted by Guest on Fri, 01/06/2012 - 10:31
Anyone else noticed that Idexx no longer pay any attention to internal requisition numbers we might place on a request. They are just using the same number as the accession number..
Apparently its a new system they implemented....all I can say is how retro.
Re: Idexx Labs
Hi Ben,
I had wondered why the results from idexx weren't importing, I thought I had something goning wrong with results collection but now that you pointed this out I can see that this is the issue. Have you been able to get any response from idexx other than that mentioned above?
Matt Y.
Re: Idexx Labs
I spoke to Bernie, who was looking into it, she said "I am not sure our new system can do it" but that has to be bogus if they can intergrate Cornerstone.
I have yet to get a formal response, I'll follow up today, perhaps try talking to iDexx IT (Cornerstone implementers)
Re: Idexx Labs
Hi Ben and Matt,
Are you working with the Idexx reference lab and receiving Idexx results via email or using their Lablink application ?
Cheers Tony
Re: Idexx Labs
Email for me tony
Well email/vetconnect(the online reporting)
Re: Idexx Labs
I am using the lablink application.
I have spoken to my IDEXX rep who has a very good track record of getting any issues sorted quickly. She believes there may be an issue with their LYNXX system (which I assume is their lab software) not reporting the number somehow.
I will let you know when I here something.
Matt.
Re: Idexx Labs
Update:
For anyone using LABLINK you need to contact IDEXX Support and get a software upgrade which should fix the investigation/requisition number problems.
For those using email, the problem is under investigation. but if you contact Carl Eden or one of the other Lynxx intergration people, apparently he can put through a tempory fix. Not sure about this yet, from my point of few it looks as though our investigation numbers are not being entered properly

Re: Idexx Labs
IDEXX upgraded lablink for me and the problem has resolved.

Re: Idexx Labs
Hi everyone,
I know this is an old topic but didn't want to restart another topic for the same problem.
I have just spent a frustrating 30 minutes on the phone to IDEXX about our results. They are using the patient number as the 'requisition number' within the Lablink code {0}_{3}_{2} ({0} being requisition number).
I tried to explain that we need the investigation number that comes through the mergefield in the top right corner of the submission form to be the 'requision number'. The guy I spoke to didn't think this was possible, but I'm sure it used to work.
I haven't changed our submission form, so suspect it is the technician at their end not seeing our investigation number or knowing what that meant. I think it stopped working about 6 months ago, but I have manually be changing the document name once it comes into the Results/in folder to the investigation number so it will attach.
We had our lablink upgraded a week ago, but it wasn't working before then either, so don't think that is the problem.
Has anyone had issues recently with IDEXX investigation numbers? Or does anyone know how I can get around fixing this without calling back the cornerstone tech support?
Re: Idexx Labs
Greta ours are working fine -
2 things to check
1. Check your Requisition forms have the req ID correctly displayed.
2. If they do - check VetConnect and make sure that the Req is being passed into the reporting interface there. It should be displayed in brackets next to the patient name. Here is the catch our Requisition number is NOT the same as IDEXX's. Idexx's req and accession numbers are the same. make sure your running version 2 of lablink. We report as follows from
c$\Program Files\IDEXX\IDEXXLabLink\Service\Idexxconnect.exe.config
<setting name="pimsPDFFileName" serializeAs="String">
<value>{0}_{3}_{4}</value>
</setting>
This produces a file name like
87076_memphis_2015-03-02-122927.pdf
I use the full timestamp as you may end up with multiple files for the same req numbers.
3. Finally you need to recheck and restart lablink.
Post a example file name and the relevant details fom within open on email and we can see if we can debug it.
