Internet Explorer

I know IE has a bad reputation for browser compatibility, but I just had a play with IE 11.

I can't fault it - tab works happily to tab between fields. Alt-F1 works. Contact purpose boxes resize correctly. Alt-down arrow opens a pull-down list. Ctrl-Up & down down arrow cycle through the entries in a pull-down.

The only 'works differently' thing I can find is the big text fields (eg the Note field on an invoice, or the text fields on the report parameter screens) - these are not resizable (but the vertical scroll is enabled if you overfill the field).

Note that I understand that saying that IE 11 is supported implies an extra testing load.  However, we could adjust the readme to say:

"OpenVPMS is designed to be used with Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. The current version of Internet Explorer (IE  11) also works, but IE is not a supported browser."

Re: Internet Explorer

One of the problems with IE is that it intercepts shortcuts. This seems to be the case in IE 11 too. E.g. Alt-F for Find opens the File menu. Alt-D for delete moves the cursor to the address bar.

Re: Internet Explorer

Arrrgggh - you are correct - and lots of googling failed to provide a method to prevent this.  Hence forget I ever suggested using IE.  Regards, Tim
