Investigation Changes in 1.5

Since 1.5 update our External lab tests which are linked to an investigation no longer have results imported directly to the client. This is because during the invoice process they do not automatically create an investigation number or automatically link the associated submission form that has the number on it.

To get around this now,  when we bill a product/test associated with an investigation we then have to click on the investigations tab that comes up on the bottom of the screen, click on the product line and press apply for the Print icon to be displayed. This is 3 clicks we did not have to do previously - we just invoiced an item like any other and the investigation and number appeared in the history and results were automatically attached.

Can you please advise how we can get back to the normal 1 click process.

On another matter I am finding it more difficult to follow topics in forums - would it be possible to divide the forum into sub topics - maybe by the headings openVPMS (Client, Patient, Supplier etc +/- Other) they are most closely related to?

Re: Investigation Changes in 1.5

Hi Nick,

we are running 1.5 in our practice and use investigations extensively as you have described. The investigation and investigation number definately do show in the history when they are invoiced. If you are in the history and need to print an investigation form double click on the investigation and there is the print form button.

The print form button does not show up until a form is saved eg. by pressing the apply button while invoicing. You can then go to the investigation tab under the item and print the form or do it from the history.

With regard to your question about the forums it would be possible to divide them up into sub-categories but the difficulty is that the user's forum is linked to the mailing list and vice versa. As the 2 are connected adding subcategories would require adding multiple mailing lists and make things very complex.

Kind regards,

Matt Y.
