Invoice estimate dose

Hi,

We have found when invoicing an estimate where a dose was calculated based on weight that the original dose is kept even though a new weight has been entered for the patient since the estimate was created say 3 months ago.

Is this correct or should the invoice not update the dose based on latest patient weight?

That is the expected behaviour. When you invoice an estimate, it also:

  • uses the prices from when the estimate was created, rather than the current prices
  • retains template expansions. So if you are using weight-based templates, the line items produced from these will reflect the patient weight when the template was expanded, rather than when it was invoiced.

Possible enhancements would be to:

  • warn if doses or template expansions don't match those for the current weight when invoicing
  • generate a new estimate from an old estimate, taking into account new prices and the patient's current weight
