You will see this if your browser's language is set to English/United Kingdom (i.e. en-gb).

It should be English/Australia [en-au].

In Firefox, you can change this under Tools -> Options -> Languages.

Unfortunately the implementation doesnt work in Chrome Browser.  Chrome wont use en-AU for display althought it will use it for Spell check, it can display in en_US or en_GB.  It displays the pound sign for both.  Changing the language in chrome has no effect.

In the invoicing tab it displays correctly with the $ sign.

As you describe above FF works as intended displaying the correct sign.

What coding are you using to allow browser detection of the currency.

Ok Update - Chrom will work BUT only if you delete en_GB as a language preference completely...

I am assuming you are using the language sent in the http-header, and I am betting chrome sends all the languages installed and then sets a default.

If I have en_GB installed even if its not the default, I get pounds..I need en_US as a default

Personally I would have thought using the practice level default currency would have been the best option.

I mean the system is NOT dependent on the location of the user rather the location of the practice....which doesnt change unlike the user location.  Just thinking ....if I was working in say London and travelled to paris and then logged in remotely to my work to check some stuff...I dont want to see price's in euro's.  Assuming I was logging in from an Internet cafe ...(lets not get into the insecurity of allowing that atm)
