Post vs finalise

We have just completed stock take adjustments and using the finalise button at the bottom of the page and all has gone well.

In stock control adding new receipts there is a similar format but my entry nurse has always finished these by using the 'post' button above the field rather than the finalise button at the bottom of the page. Which is correct and why does post work (or seem to) in stock entry but not adjustment entry finalisation?

Cheers,

Nick

Re: Post vs finalise

Hi Nick,Post and Finalise are actually the same thing in OpenVPMS.  We actually changed the onscreen naming some revisions ago but some of the areas still refer to "Post" status.  We will continue to clean this up. In regards why in works in Deliveries and not Stock Adjustments the reason is simple .. its  a bug :-)We noticed that in a number of areas changing the status directly while editing rather than using the finalise button was not triggering certain "rules" that happen after the data is saved. We solved this in many locations some time ago but obviously we have missed some.  Thanks for finding this one.  I will JIRA so we can fix .CheersTony On Wed, Jun 30, 2010 at 3:05 PM, <paradisevets@internode.on.net> wrote:
