Price rounding for products

Is it possible to round up product prices to say the nearest 5c, that way we wouldn't end up silly prices when they are automatically updated.

The way that final price is rounded for cash payments works fine but if the prices automatically went to the nearest 5c it wouldn't really be needed.

I was thinking that there may be a way to round the relevant fields in the archetypes???

Re: Price rounding for products

Good idea. It should be an option per product though. Some high volume products in our clinic need to stay exact and have rounding applied later.

Actually now that you mention it, it wouldn't work well for things
like cheap tablets or liquids tablets would it. So definately would
need to be per product or perhaps per product type?

With my old DOS program, Paradox, I have a small sub-routine that calculates and rounds retail prices (using a combination of round and integer macros): greater than 3c and less than 30c, round up/down to nearest 5c, over 30c, round up to next 10c, over $10, round up to next 50c.

Made life a lot simpler.

Cheers
