Printing drug labels automatically

Hi,Is there a way to set up medications so that they auto print labels when you hit the OK button (like RxWorks & other programs), rather than have to remember to click the 'Print Label' button?Glen-- Greenvale Animal Hospital

Printing drug labels

No. The only way to print labels is to click the button.

Not sure that it makes sense to do it when you click the OK button though. What if you subsequently edit the medication?

For most of our products I tend to agree with Tim on this one. However
automatic, non interactive printing of labels will save a click and there
isn;t a keyobard shortcut for this yet (mental note for Saving the Clicks
project). I would suggest an optional feature under Product (Medication).
ie. "Automatically print label"

Anyone else interested in this feature? I'll create an active project if
there is interest.

In RXworks automatically printing drug labels always occurs. When I first started using OpenVPMS I missed it automatically printing. Because of habit I kind of just expected it to print without me telling it to.

It doesn't take long to get in the habit of pressing print. It saves alot of wasted unrequired labels especially as pressing print gives you one last chance to check the details.

Even if non-interactive printing was enabled I wouldn't use it.

Re: Printing drug labels

Fair enough Tim. RxWorks does prints the label in conjunction with clicking the OK button (or equivalent) & I had got used to this. Would be great if a key stroke was made to print a drug label as an alternative, so that you didn't have to use the mouse. I am personally not a big mouse user & frustrating to have to grab the mouse just to do this. Glen On 17 July 2010 22:20, <tma@netspace.net.au> wrote:
