Puppy Pre-Skool age search

Hi there!

We want to search puppies who are now 8 weeks to 18 weeks of age to be able to send out puppy pre-skool reminder letters.

Can anyone help?

Cheers!
Cheryl

Puppy Pre-Skool age search

Hi Cheryl,

To get a current list of pets I would use the Patient Sterlisation report as a start.  It can list all pets that are between certain date of birth range.  This only includes non desexed pets but assume this would be OK in this circumstance.

If this report is not loaded on your system you can download it here http://www.openvpms.org/patient-sterilisation-report and documentation on how to load new reports in the system can be found here http://www.openvpms.org/documentation/how-use-report-downloaded-communit...

If this is not suitable then it woudl be simple to create a specific report to extract this information.

Also you may consider adding a new reminder type that is attached to a product or service for puppies when they first come to the clinic.  You coudl then use the reminder system to genearte the letters/emails automatically based on a date range etc.

Cheers

Tony

Puppy Pre-Skool age search

Hi Tony,

When running the sterilisation report in 1.4 you get an error:

Unknown column 'P.active' in 'where clause'

This also occurs with another report, but I can't think which it is at the moment. Is this due to archetype changes in 1.4?

Cheers,
Matt Y.

Re: Puppy Pre-Skool age

Hi Matt,Are you running OpenVPMS on a linux host ?If so i think the query will be case sensitive and you will need to change the P.active to p.active to match the alias in the select clause of the report. CheersTonyI will check other reports but would say similar issue. On Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 6:50 AM, <matt@mattyoung.com.au> wrote:

Re: Puppy Pre-Skool age

Hi Tony,

yes I am on a linux host and that was the issue with the P.active. There were also a couple of errors in some of the columns in the query so i fixed them up and have uploaded a new version of the sterilisation report.

Thankyou for your help.

Cheryl,
I have modified the report as well to just find puppies and have uploaded the puppy preschool report to the shared resources section of the site: http://www.openvpms.org/customisation/puppy-preschool-report

Cheers,
Matt Young.

Not working

Thanks heaps for doing a Template! I'm having trouble setting it up though... Everything appears ok until I enter the birth dates. Can you please show me where I've gone wrong?

Steps done:

Right click report and Save Link As

Saved in Open Office and edited file name with .jrxml

I've added new Template and made sure "Template Type is Report" and "Report Type is Patient".

I enter the macro -18w and -8w and Press OK.

Error Message "An application error has occured. Your session has been reset".

Thanks!

Cheryl

Not working

Hi Cheryl,

I think this is where you've gone wrong:

'Saved in Open Office and edited file name with .jrxml'

You can't edit jasperreports (.jrxml files) with openoffice. To edit them you need to use ireport.

There shouldn't be any need for you to edit the report though. If your browser modifies the file extension when you download it you just need to change the file extension back to .jrxml.

For example some browsers will add a .txt extension to the file. You would need to remove the .txt extension and change it back to .jrxml

Once you have it named correctly upload it to your template.

I suspect what was happening was you were opening it in openoffice and it was mucking up the formatting.

Let us know how you go,
Matt Y.
