Query on Supplier packaging

I am afraid that I didn't write the CSH text well enough and I am unsure how to set the details of the Supplier tab for items that we sell individually but have to buy in packs (eg cans of pet food). 

Is the following correct:

ie we buy 24 at a time, the minimum order qty is 1 pack of 24, the order qty increment is 1 pack of 24, and the supplier's list price is $54 for a pack of 24, but we get a discount and only pay $48/pack, and the Auto Updating will set the cost price to $48/24 = $2 when the order is delivered.

 

I promise to update the CSH text to clarify things when I get a reply to this post.

Hi Tim,

All correct except that the auto price update will update the unit cost based on the list price, not the nett price.
