SMS appointment reminders not affected by the Remind SMSs

Hi,

When a client books an appointment, our staff have started clicking the Remind button to send them an instant SMS about their appointment.

If they do this, the automatic SMS reminders we have configured for the day before their appointment is not sent (the bell is already gold so it doesn't send).

We would like the automatic SMSs to still send as an extra reminder (sometimes appointments are made weeks in advance)

Is there a way to configure either the appointment on the schedule so we can change the bell to grey again, or change the setup of the automatic smss so they STILL send even if the remind button/sms has been sent.

The Appointment Reminder Job won't send reminders if a reminder has been sent previously. This is determined based on the presence of a date in the Reminder Sent field of the Appointment.

Probably the easiest way to support what you want would be to:
1. allow the Reminder Sent field to be cleared by manually toggling the Send Reminder flag; and

2. provide a "Disable Automatic Reminder" checkbox in the Remind window.  If this is ticked, no subsequent reminder will be sent.

Hi Tim,

Yep either of those would be great.

We would find option 2 better as our default would be to send both reminders, but whatever the consensus is will be fine.
