templates

HI,

I'm new to the system. I have just finished installing it. I was under the impression that the system suppose to come with some templates. mine has got none. does anyone have any idea why?

Did you see perform the Document Templates step from the installation instructions?

I didn't install it myself buy it probably wasn't installed. Thanks. I will contact my IT Support. Cheers.

can any one guide me thru (step by step as i have no understanding of it) the template upload process?

If templates have been loaded, you will see them in Administration - Templates

If not, the easiest way to load the templates shipped with OpenVPMS is to:

1. open a new command prompt. Assuming you are running Windows, see http://www.7tutorials.com/7-ways-launch-command-prompt-windows-7-windows...

2. go the the bin directory of the OpenVPMS installation. Replace <OPENVPMS_HOME> with the actual path where OpenVPMS is installed.

    cd <OPENVPMS_HOME>\bin

3. run the templateload.bat script, specifying the paper size to load. E.g. to load A4 templates:

    templateload ../reports/templates-A4.xml

To load A5:

    templateload ../reports/templates-A5.xml

Note that you can only load one set of paper sizes.

4. To verify the templates have loaded successfully, select an invoice in Customers - Charges or Customers - Account and click Preview or Print.
