Till not locked to practice location ??

I am playing with the OTC system. I have 3 practice locations, each having their own OTC and till.
If I do an OTC, the transaction goes into the correct OTC account - ie that for the currently selected location.
However, in the payment phase of the OTC sale, I can select any of the 3 tills. As you can see in the following screen snip, although the current location (at the top right) is East Island Animal Hospital, I have been able to select the till for another location, Creature Comforts.
Is this a bug or a feature?

Hi Tim,
Have you linked only the specific till to the specific practice location in Administration -> Organisation. If you only have 1 till associated with a specific practice location then that should be the only till available for selection when you have selected that location. If it is set as default it will be selected automatically when you you select the location.
If you have and the three tills are still available for selection then that is definitely a bug. :-)

Ahah - it is a bug, but it not normally apparent - IF you set the one practice location as the default.
I was seeing the problem because my dataload setup file did not have the default flag set. Hence there was no default till set, and when I clicked the binoculars, I was presented with 3 tills.
With the default set, then a) you get the desired till set; and b) if you do click the binoculars, because the name is already fully set, you appear to have access to only one till - however, if you clear the name and click the Find button, then all three tills are presented.
Recommendation: file a jira, but flag it as minor minor minor - only to be worked on if everything else is perfect.

Playing with the Till Balance/Deposits facility, I find that the Deposit Accounts are also not locked to the Practice Location.
Here it is more 'dangerous' that the tills - even setting the default locations for the deposit accounts does not avoid the problem (as it does for tills). ie if you are running a multi practice location setup with a deposit account per location, then you must be careful when clearing the till, to explicitly choose the the correct deposit account.
Recommendation: this really should be fixed

Both problems have been fixed for 1.6. See OVPMS-1041 and OVPMS-1259.
