Updating clinician wipes out batch Number

Greetings All,
We've been getting a lot of vaccination certificates printed with no batch number, even though the clinicians swear that they used the drop-down to select the proper one. With additional testing, we see that after selecting a batch number from the pulldown, if the clinician name is subsequently filled in or changed, the batch number disappears.
I implemented this change in our 1.8 and that works well. Not sure if this is an issue only we are having or whether it extends over into 1.9.

Just an addendum to this...
Apparently if you catch the fact that the batch number was wiped out and go back to the pull-down to re-select it, it looks like everything is fine, but the batch number still does not print on the certificate. But everything is good as long as 1) the clinician displayed is the proper one by default and is already filled in, or 2) you select the clinician before selecting the batch number. Otherwise, the only way to get out of this is to just delete the charge and start again.
