Works In Progress caching

Hey Tims,

Since we went to 1.9 our Accounts managers have been glaring at me. I found out why today when they showed me how the Works In Progress list reloads every time they exit and enter the list. Its a 5 second load every time.

Previously the list stored their page and position and could be jumped in and out of readily. Is this something that I can fix thru configuration. I'm not sure I wont be knifed if I say we will need to wait for a revision/version update :-)

Help!

Thanks guys

Matt

Re: Works In Progress caching

The Work In Progress browser will refresh every time you access it, so you aren't seeing (overly) stale data. Unfortunately this is not something you can configure.

That said, it should refresh in less than a second, unless you have huge numbers of outstanding charges. If not, how much memory do you currently have allocated to MySQL buffers (see innodb_buffer_pool_size)?

Re: Works In Progress caching

Thanks for the help Tim,

Caching didnt help too much but we created a work around that has solved the problem.

It also doesn't seem to store page position between refreshes. Thats not desired behaviour is it?

Cheers,

Matt
