Invoices more detail ?

One of my vets thinks more detail beside item might be useful on printed invoices. Some other vet software does this. For example, rather than Cat Spey, you could have Cat Spey - Surgical sterilisation of female cat by ovariohysterectomy with full human standard gowning and gloving, steam sterilisation of instruments, etc. Personally I think this may be overdoing it. What do other users think ?

Invoices more detail ?

Hi Jim, Maybe more detail then a customer needs but the good thing is it is quite easy to setup in OpenVPMS. In fact it would not need any coding. You would only need to do two things: 1. Update the product archetypes to add a text field to store the required descriptive text. 2. Update the invoice template to display the product description for each invoice line item. It will be interesting to see how many users think this is a valuable enhancement. Cheers Tony

Invoices - less detail

Its such an interesting point to raise. At our clinic we have started to swing the other way quite dramatically. Towards minimal product invoices and richer client info sheets. We are feeling that strakly simple invoices (one line ideally) might be less open for interpretation by clients (and vets :) ) and that we will rely on automatically generated product info templates to still make sure good information is provided.
