[Patient Module] Adding a patient

It's only a trifling thing but...... Can we have Aussie style date format please? (dd/mm/yyyy). Also, when I am inputting a date of birth the screen refreshes every time I click on a date element (day, month or year) would it be faster to be able to click on all elements then click an OK button for it be entered? Re: Adding a patient

Hi Peter, The date entry format can be readily changed to be site or locale (country) specific. I have entered a request to Tim to defualt to dd/mm/yyyy format for AU locale not the current dd MMM, yyyy format. In regards Calendar component I can modify month and year on the calendar without it updatingthe date fiedl itself. Only when you selct a particular day in the month does th edrop down calendar disappear and the date field change to the selected date. This is by design. Am I missing something ? BTW, we will be updating the datechooser component to allow you to enter relative dates using constructs such as -2y (2 years ago) etc. Just like Netvet does. Regards Tony

Re: Adding a patient

My concern with the calender is that if I want to add say, a d.o.b. each time I add a date component e.g. May, 2005 then 25th the screen refreshes - is this being generated from the server or is this happening on the client/terminal? Peter

Re: Adding a patient

Hi Pete, The "please wait" dialogy you are seeing when you change a date element is required because with any change of element (day, month year) the date picker needs to re render the days of the month (numeric eg. 1,2 etc) to fit with the days of the week (mon etc). Matt

Re: Adding a patient

Sorry everyone, I should have added this to the previous reply but I forgot :? Tony, As per validation and user notification. If I enter a nonsense date by typing it into the date field without using the date picker, it doesn't notify me when I change or focus or even when I submit the edit. It just ignores the edit and retains previous value without user notification. Matt
