1.7 Alpha SMS Config sampler difficult to use - FIXED
Arrggh - I figured it out. The sampler updates only when you press Enter with the cursor in the phone number or text fields.
I don't know if anthing can be done about it, but the sampler on the SMS Config screens is a pig to use.
- The Apply button does not always trigger the building of the Email message and Status
- Entering the Phone number and then pressing the Enter key does not trigger the sampler
- Even modifying one of the parameter fields and then pressing Enter does not seem to reliably trigger the sampler
Suggestion: always trigger the sampler if the Apply button is pressed.

The Apply button and the enter key should always trigger a refresh. If its not then check the Status display to see if an error is being reported for one of the fields.
Note that tabbing between fields never triggers a refresh; this is a constraint of the underlying web framework we use. The reason for this is the that each tab press would require a connection to the web-server and the round-trip time would adversely impact the user experience.

Tim A - I just checked. If the other fields have not been modified and all you do is enter the phone number, then Apply does not update the sampler.
However, please don't do anything - with the CSH page saying "To get the Email and Status to update you must press the Enter key when the cursor is positioned in either of the Number or Message fields." I see no problem at all in leaving things as they are.
Also - if you don't modify the data fields why should you expect Apply to do anything?
