Anyone using version 1.9.1?

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked already, but is anyone using (the latest?) version 1.9.1? We are currently using version 1.9 but I'm thinking if we are wanting to update our reporting system with some new reports and possibly looking at implementing sms reminders then we are best to upgrade to version 1.9.1?

I'd love some feedback if possible!

Jessica - we were running 1.9.1 but are now running a pre-release snapshot of 1.9.2 (not because we needed the bug fixes it contains, but simply as part the beta testing process for new releases).

As per http://www.openvpms.org/openvpms-1.9.1 the 1.9 to 1.9.1 upgrade process requires no migration except for loading the new report templates.

Hence I would recommend that you upgrade.

As for SMS reminders, we use SMS appointment reminders, but not for patient reminders. We plan to switch to email reminders when 2.0 becomes available for production use because 2.0 includes a major overhaul of the reminder system.

Lucy - I would strongly recommend going to 1.9.3 - a) its got more fixes; b) if you do not want to convert to using the Letterhead facility introduced in 1.9 [which I also strongly recommend you do - its probably only an hours work to think about and fill in all the information in the Letterhead and Documentation control record] then 1.9.3 provides tweaks to the templateload script to enable you to just load the report set and leave your document templates (ie invoice, credit, receipt etc etc) as is.
