Hi to every one there,
We are new to the open VPMS and to the community sharing it clinic in narre warren, we have managed to install the software with some technical issues in our new opening clinic in Narre Warren South but I am having trouble in viewing the appointment schedule from the workflow. In the schedule there is only blank page and no spread sheet to edit or make appointment. I have been advised that the graphic scheduler needs setting. Does any one there can help me how to set it up?

-the other issue is how to import an office document to the VPMS; I have read through the automatic doc import to the VPMS but still not clear to me.
For instance documents such as euthanasia consent form, pre-anaesthetic consent form and practice logo or client hand -outs, how do I import them to the system?

To set up the appointment scheduler you need to

  1. Go to Administration -> Organisation:
    1. You need to be logged in as an administrator.
  2. Create a new Schedule:
    1. press the New button and select Schedule
    2. give the Schedule a meaningful name, e.g Consult, or Surgery
    3. click OK to save the Schedule
  3. Create a new Schedule View:
    1. press the New button and select Schedule View
    2. give the Schedule View a name.
    3. add the Schedule created above to the list of Schedules 
    4. click OK to save the Schedule View
  4. Add the Schedule View to the Practice Location
    1. select the Practice Location by pressing the Select button and browsing for the appropriate one.
    2. edit the Practice Location
    3. click the Schedule Views tab and add the Schedule View created above
    4. click OK to save the Practice Location
  5. Log out and log back in again

 The Schedule View will now be available in Workflow -> Scheduling

thanks for your reply , I have followed these steps one by one then logged off and on again browsed to the workflow then schedule clicked on calendar and new icon in the bottom of the page , scheduling page still blank (no spread sheet to create an appointment list)
I am not sure what might be wrong , I went through the admin ,then organization the select the schedule and gave that a "consult" name clicked ok the added the schedule view , the main practice is already saved and edited , still able to  add the practice location as main practice which is already identified  then ok and log off
Any other way of setting it up

You need to have a schedule view selected in order to be able to add appointments.

These are accessible from the "View" dropdown in the top left of the Workflow -> Scheduling page.

If there are no views listed, it means that no views have been configured for the current practice location (shown at the top right of the page next to "Location:")

 

If there is a view selected but still no rows appear, it could be that the Schedule's start and end times haven't been set correctly.

To check, go into Administration -> Organisation, select the appropriate Schedule, and verify that the "Start Time" and "End Time" are either:

  1. empty; or
  2. Start Time < End Time

If not, edit to correct, and then log off and back on again.
