Automatic Billing
Hi,
This may not be something for many in the OpenVPMS community, but I thought I'd bring it up here as a feature development request.
I am wanting to automate the billing of our hospitalisation charges.
My idea is:
* When a patient is transferred into a particular hospital worklist, a charge is added to the bill "Hospital Admit" ie $200
* Each patient that is in a particular hospital worklist at 6am or 6pm is charged "Hospitalisation" ie $100
* Only charge "Hospitalisation" at 6am / 6pm if the patient has be in worklist for longer than 12 hours.
I understand this would be quite a development, but thought I'd put the suggestion out there and see if it's a possibility.

Dont integrations like Smartflow and VetCheck cover this (I am not sure on vetcheck)

Hi Ben,
We use SmartFlow but we don't have billing turned on. The reason is we have CubeX and we don't want to complicate things by having billing coming from two things.
I have thought about turning on billing for non-cubeX items, but haven't done so yet.
Do you have billing turned on for your SmartFlow? Do you have it set for just some items?
I can see the settings I need to change in SmartFlow to turn on billing, but am hesitant to do it without guidance. I will reach out to SmartFlow before making any changes.

I have used Smartflow in the past, but not CUBEX. Obviously, it gets pretty technical once you have multiple integrations that handle these features -
My impressions of Smartflow was one of the major reasons to use it was to avoid missed billings
One question - and keep in mind I dont use CUBEX
I assumed CUBEX was a pharmacy integration - ie you billed in OPENVPMS which triggered CUBEX to release the medication - reviewing the data - it appears not it seems its the other way around.
I will note that CUBEX states it has Smartflow integration. I would speak to SmartFlow and check out how that works.
