Average Transaction Fee Report
I was wanting to calculate an average transaction fee for a period. Is there a current report that can calculate the number of transactions for a period - I have looked but could not find one. I can get the total revenue for the period, so the total number of transactions (or invoices?) for a period would allow this calculation.
I know this is common calculation in practice & assume that it would be available somewhere, but I may have had a boy look when checking perhaps?

I'm wondering if you ever worked out how to gain and average transaction value for a specified date range from any of the avaiable reports? If so, I too would love to see this made available.

Has there been any movement on this? We are very interested in theis report also as our accountants require this information.
Can this been written or has anyone modified a report to include it?

I did a hack of the standard sales report (I thought it was going to be quick, but it turned out to have a learning curve). The jrxml is attached. The output is like the picture below - note that this is from a Hong Kong data set and hence the dollars look large and there is zero tax. Note also, no one defined what a 'transaction' is - is it the complete transaction (ie the whole invoice) or a line item? This report is counting invoices etc, not line items. The report parameters are the start and end dates.
