Clinician field now centred right not left - any suggestions ?

Since our upgrade to V1.8, the clinician is now centred right not left.

This means that before saving a history or invoice for a vet such as Angus Donald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAFF CAV 1473 we now see "nald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAFF CAV 1473".

It would be a whole lot easier and less clunky if we could see what we saw before which was Angus Donald BVSc (Hons 1) N9362 DAF (as before the upgrade, when centred left).

Any suggestions ?

Re: Clinician field now centred right not left - any ...

Jim - I am having difficulty understanding which screen you are talking about. If I look at our medical records screen I get: (this is for patient ZZ Dog off my test system and the data is not real - just test stuff)

Note that:

a) we use 'short names' for our vets and we use a modified version default.properties to reduce the width of the clinican field in the history display to 4 characters - the standard is 12.5

b) in the 2nd last line you can see the result of changing the clinician name from 'DG' to 'Dg1234567890' - you can only see the first part of the name

However, this does not match your problem description.

Here is the invoice detail from Customers|Accounts - with the name made even longer:

Still no match to your description.

So can you provide more detailed description and perhaps a picture. [I an using the Windows 7 and later 'Snipping Tool' to snip part of the screen and then paste it into the post.]

Regards, Tim G

PS To complete to description of how we set up clinicians - here is DG's User record:

As you can see we use a modified archetype which has a extra 'Printed Name' field.

Our reports use the Description field when we want the full name, and on the Certificates we use the Printed Name which contains the qualifications.

Re: Clinician field now centred right not left - any ...

I suspect this is a browser issue. I can reproduce the behaviour you describe in Firefox 41.0.1:

but not in Google Chrome 45.0.2454.101 m:

If you are using Firefox, you could try switching to Chrome.

Alternatively, remove the qualifications from the clinician name and move it to the user Description field. You will need to update report templates accordingly.
