Commercial services around OpenVPMS page

I would be interested to get people's opinion on the idea of having a place on www.openvpms.org where businesses can advertise their commercial services. I believe it would be a great enhancement for the project itself as well as to those who provide commercial services around openvpms.

Some brain-storming ideas I would like to throw out there from previous discussions I have had about this are:
1. Providing a page where commercial services could pay to advertise themselves
2. Providing a page where anyone could apply to have their business listed as providing a service to do with openvpms but not charging for it.
3. Limiting services to people who have contributed to the project (how could this be decided)
4. Allowing registered users to vote for how good a business they have dealt with is (5 start rating)
5. Allowing users to comment on an organisation eg. they did blah blah blah for me and they completed it on time and exceeded my expectations.
6. 1 page of services with a brief intro to each business with a logo or picture and some text with a link to that businesses own website.
7. Listing the number of subscriptions an implementor has fed back into the project.
8. Linking the listing to the profile of the implementor and their postings on the site so you can see how helpful/unhelpful they are and how much they contribute.

I would like to here from as many people as possible on this- esp potential end users & existing & potential commercial services. If you would prefer to contact me offline or to comment anonymously please send me an email (matt[at]mattyoung.com[dot]au) and your thoughts will be taken into consideration.

You don't need to limit your ideas to my list. Feel free to contribute your own ideas and to cut mine down.

Re: Commercial services around OpenVPMS page

I think this is a very clever idea and would serve the businesses that support OpenVPMS well. It would also give someone who was thinking of installing OpenVPMS a choice of professionals to call to get discuss the process of installation/change over.

Cool Matt!
